It has been a while since you all heard from us, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been working on things. There are a few things cooking in the oven.  We have a few gigs booked; the first one is on August 15 in Middelburg. Keep checking the site for more details on that. We are also very busy with our upcoming new single and accompanying video. Take our word, that it is going to be something very special.  If you don’t want to miss anything when things start rolling fast again join us on our network sites. Hey there amigos, maybe some of you have already noticed that we made a small update around here. As you might have seen, something has changed with a tab in the menu. We added/renamed one tab called ‘TB’s Mix ‘n’ Serve’. This tab is named after a side-project of Tuxedo Bandido. Being the music lovers the TB3 are, they also like to do DJ-sets where they play and share tunes and beats from their large music library at TB-headquarters.
Since conventional channels often only play the same popular music, we like introducing people to some unknown artists whose vibes we love. In other words the TB-crew mix & serve you cocktails of different tastes with favorite flavors ranging from past to present. Get your cocktail with free loungy beats right here.

TB's Mix 'n' Serve: Salute!

Today local radiostation Omroep Zeeland broadcasted the top 40 of this year. Tuxedo Bandido’s Where The Birds Go was on the shortlist of 60 songs. After 6 weeks of online voting, today they announced the Top 40. We would like to thank everyone who voted for us. A special thanks goes out to our amigo, Danny Vera, who promoted our song in a television broadcast about the Top 40. Danny took places 25 and14 with his songs A58 and Heading For The City. It has been an exciting two weeks. On Friday, March 26 we got our first national airplay on KinkFM. After the show, people could vote for the band that they liked the best and the top three bands would be played again the following week. Guess what? We got played the next week. We would like to thank all of the people who voted for us. We also would like to thank KinkFM`s dj Bazz for creating a show that gives independent bands airplay. Momentarily, we are working on some new and exciting stuff…we will keep you posted.

 However, if you would still like to vote The Omroep Zeeland (regional station) Top 40 is on again. You can vote for five bands who you would like to see in the Top 40. You can vote for us, but give our amigo Danny Vera a vote too. He deserves it, look at the promo he made for us!

Corny Island, march 26, 2010

On Friday March 26 Tuxedo Bandido`s song ‘To The Max Again’ made its debut on Dutch national radio on KinkFM. Together with 29 other bands they got two minutes of airplay. If Tuxedo Bandido gets enough votes their song will be played again next week and there`s a chance that they will get a gig at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. You can vote here.

On Friday March 26, between 7:00 and 8:00 pm Tuxedo Bandido will make its national radio debut on KinkFM. The song To The Max Again will be aired in the 2minutenshow (two minute show). This show makes a selection from independent bands and plays the first two minutes (hence the name) of one of their songs. If listeners like the song, they can show their support by voting on the station’s website. If a song gets enough votes it will end up in that week’s top 3. Those top 3 will be played again the following week, but this time they play the complete song!

 We have posted a new video on our youtube page. It was shot at our gig on February 27 at `t Beest in Goes (The Netherlands). It was the premiere of our tribute to the late Pauly Fuemana, singer and member of OMC. We took their worldwide hit How Bizarre and added some alternate lyrics, an interesting break and surprising sounds. The result can be watched and listened to here.

Amigas and Amigos, On Saturday, February 27 Tuxedo Bandido offers you ‘An Evening with Tuxedo Bandido’. Crime scene is `t Beest  in Goes. Partners in crime are DJ`s Johan and Emiel and the bands Offshore and The Balcony Players. Tuxedo Bandido has a full show for you, which includes; inflatable cactuses, the mini-bar, a little dancing, our VJ Marc Vos, and lots more. We hope to see you Saturday February 27 at 8.30 PM. Entrance fee is only 5 euros.

Hello amigos, we just wanted to let you know that we are working on new
material and the results and ideas are thrilling so far, more info in
time. Apart from that there’s going to be a big change this year in our
TB-facility since one of our main TB-headquarters is moving. It’s not
ready yet, but the planned move will be sometime this year. This will
definitely bring a positive change of atmosphere and will also bring about
more creativity. With the move, the Bandidos will live even closer to one another.
The TB-crew will still be living on Corny Island, but
we slowly moved our way up to the capital of CI, just like one of our
amigos will be “headin’ for the city” as well .

The year 2009 proved to be a very successful year for Tuxedo Bandido and we couldn’t have done it without your support. We are looking forward to another fantastic and exciting new year, 2010. We’ll keep you posted on our upcoming gigs. TB loves you!
