Biography
‘The TB story in short and simple facts’
Tuxedo Bandido was founded in 2003 by singer/ guitarist/ producer/ writer Maxim S. Calda and lead guitarist Mr. Swanky. Their goal was to combine guitars and vocals with beat-orientated music. They named the style Hip-Pop.
In 2004, they released their debut album ‘A Splendid Idea Compadre’ and although the album got good reviews it did not convince the two compadres to hit the stage. The band remained very productive in the studio however.
On some of the new material they hired the services of bass player and friend, Peetman. In 2007, they asked him to stay and Tuxedo Bandido became a three piece band (TB3).
The year 2008 was a big year in TB history. In that year the band decided to go live, supported by a PR campaign involving a new website, new pictures, a photo-expose, and last but not least their free downloadable single ‘To The Max Again’. The band made a well received live-debut in November 2008.
In 2009, the band is planning more live shows and will also release new songs. All songs will be free to download. Why free? Well, the band wants to spread their music over the globe and they also believe (their) music should be available for everyone. Therefore, they decided to use Creative Commons licenses. Creative Commons is a nonprofit corporation that
wants to increase the amount of creativity and is dedicated to making it easier for people to share and build upon the work of others, consistent with the rules of copyright. Tuxedo Bandido decided to make their music free to music lovers, but they want to see some money from people who use their songs for commercial purpose. More about CC is to be found on www.creativecommons.com .
